The Santa Fe High School shooting... what I think

So... here we are again...

We have yet another mass shooting perpetrated by yet another disaffected scumbag loner...

I'm sure the Democrats, celebrities, socialites, anti-gunners and other dipshit airheads will have plenty to say about this recent tragedy...

The news media will go about their usual business of demonizing the guns, the movies, the videogames, the comic books, the television, or people with autistic problems...

And without breaking a sweat, Jimmy Kimmel will get on his soapbox to cry a million tears on national television on how tragic this event was and how we need more gun control...

...

...but once again, the criminals don't care.

If you're going to commit a bunch of crimes, up to and including mass murder, they can only hang you once.

And what's the one choice that disaffected scumbag loners like this recent one tend to gravitate towards when they want their 15 minutes of fame and to show the world that they aren't losers and how they want us to understand and feel their pain?

Well, that's easy; they buy or steal a gun, get as much ammo as possible, and they go to the local school, college, mall, movie theater, etc., and just start blasting away at everyone they see until they either kill themselves or surrender.

Cause they know, that if they choose this route, then they will, sometimes literally, go from a nobody to a somebody overnight. Suddenly, the whole world will want to know their name and who they are. They will get instant, round-the-clock news coverage for days, weeks, months, years, and sometimes even decades after they've committed their crime. Experts, doctors, lawyers, professors, lobbyists, psychiatrists, regular people and even homeless bums will try to understand what they've (the scumbag psychopath) done and what was going through their head when they went out and shot a bunch of people.

Hell, even the President of the United States, one of the most important men in the world, will drop whatever he is doing so he can hold a press conference to talk about the perpetrator and their actions, and he'll even shed a single, manly tear if the situation calls for it.

So, to the disaffected, depraved, scumbag loser who committed this latest school shooting; congratulations. You are now a star.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; these murdering scumbags DO NOT deserve to be remembered or memorialized. They DO NOT need news specials or documentaries made about them. And they DO NOT deserve any fucking pity from ANYONE. They deserve to be hated, their graves deserve to be spit on, they deserve to be despised, and their names deserve to be erased and forgotten from history.

"In Damnatio Memoriae"

As the ancient Romans would say and do to those who have wronged society in some way, shape or form.

Furthermore, I think it's ridiculous how there are people in the liberal and anti-gun community that are making stupidly retarded statements about this recent shooting at this Texas school by saying;

"Well, at least he wasn't using an AR-15!" or "Well, at least only 10 people died!"

You know what? If you say that, you are a moron and you need to stop saying it.

Stop disrespecting the families of the victims by trying to use their dead loved ones to further your anti-AR-15 agenda.

This mass shooting isn't about the weapons were used or how many people this scumbag could kill before he could be stopped by the police or before he could kill himself.

This mass shooting was about this loser making those who had shunned and hated him feel his pain and his struggles. Cause from what's been reported so far, the 10 people he shot were targets that he specifically chose to shoot. In his twisted, fucked up mind, these 10 people, whether intentionally or not, had wronged him in some way, and combined with the stress and worries that many American teenagers experience in high school, along with whatever mental defects he had, caused him to snap and choose the vengeance route.

Furthermore, I'm not going to call this event a "mass shooting" at this point.

This event, was a targeted killing. A vengeance spree against specific individuals that this murdering scumbag, in his fucked up, twisted little mind, chose to shoot because in his world, they had, whether intentionally or not, wronged him in some way.

This event wasn't like the Parkland or Columbine shootings.

This event was more like the Thurston shooting.

Where the perpetrator came to the school and targeted specific individuals that he believed had wronged him in some way, whether intentionally or not.

This was not a mass shooting.

This was a revenge killing.

But as usual, the anti-gun lobby of the United States will use this tragedy to further exploit their agenda of more gun control. And if that fails, then they will appeal to the anti-gunners by state to screw with the Second Amendment on the local level.

And God forbid, if the National Rifle Association says anything; then they are branded as bloodthirsty monsters. And if they say nothing, then their silence must be the proof of their damning guilt... well, at least, according to Diane Feinstein and everyone on the progressive, SJW, beta-cuck left.

And all the while, the Red States will get redder, the Blue States will get bluer, and nothing ever gets done that will actually protect children in schools.

Unless of course you live in Alaska. Cause in Alaska, nearly EVERY school has a dozen or more armed police officers PLUS resource officers that help patrol the hallways, watch out for potential threats, and interact with the students and faculty in a way that the police departments of the elite urban liberal cities wish they could.

And they haven't had a mass shooting happen in a school up there in 21 years.

And even before that, there has never been an incident in that state where a school shooter went into a school and killed dozens of people.

So if you actually want to make sure your children are safe in school, then we all need to follow Alaska's example.

Cause if we don't, then as much as I hate to say it, nothing will get better.

Well... let's see where things go from here.

The Shooting at YouTube HQ... and why it shouldn't surprise anyone.

So, the other day I heard that there was an attempted mass shooting that occurred at the YouTube headquarters up in San Francisco...

And apparently, the shooter turned out to be a woman who took her own life after she shot and injured 3 or 4 people who worked at the YouTube HQ...

...

*sigh*

...

Look, I don't mean to be mr nay-say here, but this seriously needs to be said, at least in regards to the evidence that's been revealed about this woman's motivation for targeting the YouTube HQ...

And it's this;

Countless times, ever since Google bought YouTube out back in 2006, they have made constant changes to the site that have done nothing but inconvienence their users while rewarding those who still continue to exploit the loopholes in the system. So much so, that many former YouTubers nowadays have come to the conclusion that the "You" in YouTube is done and gone.

In short, it's really hard to "be yourself" on YouTube anymore, or do something that catches the eyes of those who are interested in what you have to say or show, or present and talk about subjects without some salty individuals, be they users or the bots getting triggered over your uploaded video while abusing the report/flagging system that YouTube STILL refuses to correct the many mistakes and errors it has.

And the one thing that I and many, many other people from The Archfiend to Emer Prevost (Hellsing920) have said many times in the past is that; if YouTube refuses to fix their shit and get their house in order, then one day, they are going to end up pissing off the wrong person or people.

And it looks like that day has arrived.

Look, I'm not trying to bemoan or demean the victims of this latest tragedy. I'm sure each and every one of those 3 or 4 people that were shot and injured had NOTHING to do with whatever it was that caused this woman to take her frustrations over an internet website out on them.

But the point I'm trying to make is this; Google and YouTube spent over a decade just frolicking through the fields thinking that every single little change and alteration they made to the website was fine and dandy and that the complaints of the users who were against these changes and alterations didn't matter.

But now, this is a VERY, FUCKING, SERIOUS, wake up call to the higher-ups that run Google and YouTube.

So they'd better damn well address the issues that this woman had with their website that caused her to snap and go off the deep end on them.

Yet at the same time, it's tragic that it takes 3 to 4 of their own employees to get injured and the cost of the life of one of their users for Google and YouTube to (hopefully) sit up and finally pay attention to the negativity that their actions have caused.

Sure, maybe the rest of the internet will spend their time making fun of this woman for "losing her shit over a disturbance on an internet website", and yeah, I can already feel the folks on 4Chan preparing their "an hero" tributes to this psychotic bitch...

...

Cause when you think about it, it does sound like a bad comedy punchline for a newspaper;

"Woman flips out, shoots 4 people, then commits suicide over a disturbance on an internet website!"

And maybe whatever sympathy that her family and friends might be feeling for her right now will probably fade in time.

Sure, they are all probably mourning for her and the choice she made, but years from now, one, if not all of them will eventually end up saying; "Holy fuck was she stupid or what?!"

…

...but my point remains the same;

Google and YouTube have been constantly making unwarranted and unnecessary changes to the website.

They've been shafting those with legit, true talent in favor of those who are talentless and exploit the loopholes in their system.

They refuse to listen to the complains and criticisms that the users have made from past to present about their changes and alterations to the website.

They've punished their users who's content doesn't fit in with their "kid-friendly", "safe space" liberal narratives as of late with video demonetization, video blocking, video removal, and even up to channel termination.

And now that they've gone so far down this road without a care in the world, they ended up pissing off the wrong person, and tragedy has struck directly at the heart of their headquarters.

…

That is all I have to say.

And hopefully, Google and YouTube will finally wake up and realize their mistakes, learn from this event, and try to make an attempt to improve things on that website.

But you know what? For all we know, they probably won't give a damn. They will just look at this event and say something to the extent of; "Oh what's this? Someone didn't like our changes and the direction we were taking our website? So they decided to shoot up our website HQ? Oh well, too bad for them!", and then they just keep frolicking through the flowers without a care in the world.

Honestly, I hope YouTube and Google aren't that heartless. But if that becomes their response, then holy shit, they are the worse monsters than this woman shooter was.

I'm done.

The Pennsylvania high school stabbing... and why criminals don't care...

So this time, we have another horrifying incident occur at an American high school...

However this time, the perpetrator pulled out a knife and stabbed 21 people before they were aprehended.

I'm sure that the school has some pretty strict policies regarding the prohibition of knives and guns on school grounds...

And sure... no one has died from this incident...

...

...but once again;

The criminal didn't care.

If someone is determined enough, they will find a way to hurt you, regardless of whatever laws, rules, regulations or prohibitions are in place.

Make guns hard to get, and knives, blades or improvised shanks become the weapon of choice. Like what happened in China in 2012 when a madman barged into an elementary school and stabbed 22 people with a knife, the majority of them being children. Which, by the way, occurred on the SAME WEEK, that the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre happened.

Make those hard to get, and other everyday objects become the weapon of choice, such as cars. Like how it goes down every other day in the United Kingdom when the jaded pisslamic losers decide to a-halla snackbar the random British citizens who are just walking down the sidewalk minding their own business.

Make those hard to get, and improvised explosives become the weapon of choice. Since, quite literally, anyone who's determined enough can walk into any hardware store and buy the items necessary to make pipe bombs. Like what those two Churka losers did when they went and bombed the Boston Marathon back in 2013.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; criminals, don't, care.

If someone is truly determined enough, they will find a way to hurt you and those you care about.

If someone wakes up in the morning and decides that they are going to commit a bunch of crimes, up to and including murder, the courts can only hang them once.

Because criminals, by their definition, don't obey the law.

...

Well, in any case, we'll see where things go from here...

...

Oh, and furthermore, don't give this loser any more free exposure, news media.

Make sure that the loser who committed this stabbing frenzy is hated, despised, spit on, and forgotten.

Don't make this new monster famous.

Make sure they are forgotten.

"In Damnatio Memoriae"...

As the ancient Romans would say and do to anyone who has committed the most vile, disgusting acts in their society.

...

I'm done.

A lengthy rant/discussion about the bullshit from the past week or so...

Criminals are criminals.

And they don't care.

If a criminal wakes up one day and decides that he or she is going to rob the local gas station or convenience store, or if he or she decides they are going to murder you and rape your dog, or if he or she decides that they are going to kill as many people as they can for the fast track to their 15 minutes of media fame and stardom (even if it's the
infamous kind), they WILL find a way to do so.

Blaming, regulating, restricting or outright banning the inanimate and the material does nothing, solves nothing, changes nothing, and achieves nothing.

Criminals are criminals.

And they don't care.

Furthermore, there is NO such thing as a "safe space".

The world we live in is a dangerous, unstable, imperfect world.

Just like how "freedom isn't free", a "safe space" is an illusion.

You, the average individual, are more likely to get hit by a distracted driver while crossing the street than finding yourself smack dab in the middle of a mass shooting that's perpetrated by some psychotic, disaffected loner.

And even then, it's a long shot that an incident like a hit and run would make the evening news.

The idea or notion that there are "safe spaces" in our world is a filthy lie likely perpetrated by those in positions of political power who have been sheltered and pampered all their lives.

So stop believing the lie, cause it's not true. At all.

Also, we have plenty of gun control on the books. And from what I've seen, it works just fine.

As of 2018; the current gun control we have dictates that you cannot legally own rifles or shotguns until you are legally 18 years of age or older, while you cannot legally own handguns until you are legally 21 years of age or older.

The law furthermore states that if you want to own a gun, you have to provide an id, fill out several different forms of paperwork, and go through a background check that usually takes a few minutes.

The law however, prohibits anyone who is a felon from owning or possessing a firearm. And the law states that a felon is anyone who has been convicted in a court of law that resulted in a prison sentence, anyone who has been convicted to a mental ward or psychiatric hospital against their will, and anyone who is below the legal age to own or possess firearms.

The law also prohibits you from owning fully automatic weapons, and you cannot own "sawed-down" or "sawed-off" firearms, you cannot manufacture, own or distribute destructive devices like explosive charges or grenades, and you cannot own suppressors or silencers.

That is the basic gist of the current firearm laws that we have on the books.

Granted, there are hundreds, if not thousands of more laws on the books, and each of them are going to vary by each individual state. But for the basic gist of it, there you go.

And it works just fine.

So stop clamoring for more gun control or more firearm restrictions or prohibition.

Finally, I just want to say this;

Liberals, entertainment media whores, SJWs, and anti-gunners;

Do humanity a favor, and shut the fuck up.

Guns are not the problem. And there is NOT an epidemic of mass shootings going on in this country. So stop with the bullshit panic attacks and losing your fucking minds whenever we see or hear about a shooting where 10 or more people under the age of 18 tragically died because they couldn't defend themselves or their legal guardians couldn't defend them.

Stop proving the Joker right when he said his famous quote in 'The Dark Knight'; "It's all part of the plan".

Take a deep breath, let rational thinking resume without your emotions getting in the way, and let's actually start a discussion in a sane, civilized manner.

Conservatives, alt-right, pro-gunners and the meme-ers who helped D.J.T. win the election;

Quit gloating.

Yeah, the AR-15 is your rifle of choice when it comes to target shooting, sport shooting, hunting, self-defense or whatever, and sure, you will always rally to defend this rifle whenever it comes under attack from the anti-gunners.

But it is NOT the greatest damn rifle to ever hit the fucking world.

Furthermore, while there are those of us who like the idea of owning an AR-15, the sad truth is not all of us can afford a $1,500 rifle. Why? Cause some of us have/live on fixed incomes and all we can afford are the $200-$500 firearms.

So stop thumbing your noses at us who can only afford the guns in those price ranges.

Cause if anything, that kind of attitude divides the gun community and only turns potential future pro-gun supporters away from you.

…

And that's it.

Rant over.

Quit crying about more gun restrictions or more gun accessibility.

There's already more than enough salt for us to start exporting it to Canada so they can use it to scrape the ice off their roads more easier.

…

Oh? What's that? Were you expecting me to say something about the companies severing their ties or connections with the National Rifle Association?

Hmm...

Well, I will say this;

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a dying business that refuses to get out of it's 20th century mindset.

With things like Uber and Lyft being the number one choice these days, the decision that the owners of Enterprise made regarding their distancing from the NRA will be the final nail in the coffin for them.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised when alot of the businesses that have severed ties with the NRA start panicking at the end of this year when their profits start plummeting because customers refuse to do business with them due to their boneheaded decision.

Ok, now I'm done...

…

No wait, there's one more thing I need to add;

…

The only reason these monsters commit the crimes that they've set out to do, is because they want attention.

Get it through your heads people.

They want someone to sit up and take notice of their plight, their sorrow, their pain, and all their worries and woes.

That's the real reason why criminals commit heinous acts of violence such as gathering a bunch of guns and ammo to shoot up the local high
school, college, mall, restaurant, etc.;

Because they want the attention geared towards what they have done.

If a depraved, disaffected scumbag loser can kill a bunch of people in one setting, he or she will go from a nobody to a somebody, quite literally, overnight.

Suddenly, the entire world will want to know their name, who they were, and what they were thinking when they decided to commit this act of mass murder.

Their face will be pasted all over the news media, with 24/7, round-the-clock coverage.

All the experts, doctors, professors, lawyers, politicians and even the common folks will spend days, months, and even decades, trying to decipher or understand what it is that the loser scumbag was thinking or what terrible events happened in his or her life that brought them to this point in time.

Hell, even the President of the United States, one of the most important men in the world, will drop whatever he is doing to hold a press conference to talk about them and their actions, and he'll even shed a single, manly tear if the situation calls for it.

So congratulations to the depraved, disaffected, scumbag loser, you went from being a nobody to a somebody.

You are now a star.

*sigh*

So, when the news media and the figureheads of the entertainment industry and the political spectrum aren't demonizing the guns, the movies, the television, the video games, the internet, comic books or graphic novels and people with autistic problems, they will continue to show the face of the mass killer in the background, all the while telling the whole world about their worries and woes and the horrible steps that led them to commit their heinous act of criminality.

The cycle repeats, and the next disaffected, depraved, angry loner takes notes from what the news media and the figureheads of the entertainment industry and the political spectrum are saying about the current hot new mass killer, and inevitably, they begin the planning stages on how they too, can go from a nobody to a somebody.

...

I've said it before and I will keep saying it every time an event like this happens.

These depraved, disaffected, loser scumbags DO NOT DESERVE to have their faces plastered all over the news.

They DO NOT DESERVE to have any sympathy tossed their way.

They DO NOT DESERVE to have time wasted on them in trying to decipher or understand their lives and what went wrong that caused them to go out and kill dozens of innocent people.

And they certainly DO NOT DESERVE to have TV specials, movies, documentaries, news specials, books or lectures made about them.

They are CRIMINALS.

They are MURDERING SCUMBAGS.

They are MONSTERS who went out and KILLED dozens of innocent people that had NOTHING, to do with their suffering or pain.

And they DO NOT DESERVE to be made famous.

They deserve to be hated, they deserve to be despised, their names deserve to be spit on, and they deserve to be erased and forgotten from history.

...

As the ancient Roman saying goes;

"In Damnatio Memoriae".

And the only time any of them should ever be remembered is when the sane, law-abiding, gun owner is studying the tactics on how to neutralize them faster if such a scumbag attacks them or their families.

...

And that is all I have to say.

So once again, don't make these scumbag fucks famous.

Make sure they are forgotten.

Quit crying for more gun control, "safe spaces", thought control, heavy legislation and regulations, cause none of it solves anything.

Take a deep breath.

Calm the fuck down.

And let's actually get together and have a sane, civilized, rational discussion without the tears of Jimmy Kimmel and the bullshit screaming of RHCP's bassist; Flea.

In the words of a famous man; "It's time to install some speed bumps in our schools".

I'm done.

A minor note I'd like to add on the Logan Paul situation...

Well, I figured it was only a matter of time before I decided to chime in on this controversy...

...but since everyone on the internet and in the celebrity world, including their grandmothers, knows who Logan Paul is, what he's done during his trip to Japan last December, and the infamous 'suicide forest' video that he posted onto YouTube which showed the dead body of some unfortunate Japanese citizen who ended their life in that forest, I figured everything that has been said about him is more than enough, and I don't know what else I could possibly add to the conversation when everyone on the internet and in real life has pretty much torn him to shreds so thin that they have been rendered microscopic...

...

...but wait! There actually is a bit of controversy I can comment on regarding this whole situation!

Someone on YouTube [link will be posted when I can find the video and user], made a lengthy rant about Logan Paul's Japan vlog videos, and while he pretty much said the exact same things that everyone else has said in their video rants about Logan Paul's behavior, this guy decided to add yet another statement into his video which is not only completely idiotic, but also proves that this guy really loves to talk out of his ass.

Because at one point in this guy's video rant about Logan Paul,

He pretty much compared the current U.S. President; Donald Trump, and his behavior so far in his political career, to Logan Paul's behavior during his visit to Japan.

...

......

Dude...

Are you fucking serious?

No seriously, are you fucking serious right now?

Is this how far down you're willing to sink in scraping the bottom of the shit barrel?

You're comparing some Z-list internet celebrity and the actions he committed during his trip in Japan to President Trump's behavior and Twitter posts throughout his political career?

...

I have only one question for you pal; name a moment in time where President Trump visited Japan, whether for business purposes or as a tourist, and committed the exact same behaviors and actions that Logan Paul committed in his trip.

Go ahead, give me one, legitimate example where President Trump visited Japan, at any point in his lifetime, and acted exactly the way Logan Paul did.

...

...oh wait, that's right! President Trump never did such a thing!

You, fucking, moron.

*sigh*

It's really pathetic folks.

It's really pathetic when people who are getting their jimmies rustled up over Logan Paul's actions in Japan, are letting their political convictions overrule their sensibility, and are trying to lump him into the same basket with President Trump.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear;

Logan Paul's actions in Japan are not and should not, be about politics, whether foreign or domestic.

Logan Paul's actions in Japan should serve as a very serious lesson and reminder, to ALL the people of the world (not just Americans) that; when you travel abroad,

1) You are going at your own risk. If you don't like the risk, don't go.

2) You are subject to the same laws, rules and restrictions that the citizens of the country or countries that you travel to are also subjected to. If you don't like this or cannot be bothered to read up on said laws, rules and restrictions, don't go.

3) You are, whether you like it or not, a representative of your home country when you travel abroad, so good manners, basic etiquette, and respect will apply when the citizens of whatever country you visit interact with you. If you don't want to behave and would rather act like a child in a foreign nation, don't go.

I know this.

You know this.

President Trump knows this.

And Logan Paul should've known this.

...

And to everyone who says that President Trump's statements about Mexico and the various other nations of the world during his campaign and Presidency are what destroys my argument, let me make one more thing clear about that;

You all realize that Trump says these things so that the media and all of you will talk about it, right?

Remember, President Trump has been in the media spotlight for a VERY long time, even before he became the President of the United States. He knows how it works, he knows how all of you view them, and he knows all the tips, tricks and means of how to get the media and all of you people talking about him and the statements he makes, regardless of whether it makes you angry or if you agree with him.

And you people just don't seem to learn your lesson when it comes to this one simple rule about the internet, and real life in general when it comes to President Donald Trump and others like him;

Rule 14: Don't feed/argue/respond/debate the troll, it means that they win.

The fact that so many of you keep getting angry and riled up over his Twitter posts and public statements just goes to show how you let the words of a troll get under your skin so easily.

*sigh*

Anyway, that's all I have to say regarding this matter.

This guy who made his video rant about Logan Paul, and comparing Logan Paul's behavior to President Trump's behavior, is not only idiotic and foolish, but also shows how much this guy talks out of his own ass, and how he cannot be bothered to provide any real, credible sources or articles that shows President Trump visiting Japan and committing the same actions that Logan Paul committed over there when he visited the country.

And if he's being honest in his video statement about leaving the United States and moving to Japan to become a permanent citizen over there, then all I have to say; is good fucking riddance.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, libtard loser.

Try to take some of your SJW friends and retarded subscribers with you.

And most importantly, don't come back to America.

...

Now, normally, this blog post would end here... But... I suppose I should say one or two things about Logan Paul...

The first thing I'd like to say about the man is this; before this whole situation became the shitstorm that it is now, I had never even heard about Logan Paul. But then again, I don't waste my time searching YouTube for retards like him to watch. I spend my time watching people with actual talent on YouTube, not the mind-numbingly stupid shit that YouTube promotes on a daily basis.

The second thing I'd like to say about the man, is this; when I first heard about the controversy he's caused and how everyone including their grandmothers are commenting on or about it, my original thoughts were;

Why do you care?

Why do any of you, care?

And to be honest, those are still my thoughts on this whole situation. Why should any of you give a shit about some z-list internet celebrity's actions in another country?

Is it because he acts like and resembles your stereotypical American tourist? And that his actions make America as a whole look bad?

Or is it because of his ambitions to become an actor and his Hollywood connections that have since shamed him or severed their relationships with him? And because you people, the general public, tend to listen to what Hollywood says and does, you're all jumping on the Logan Paul hate bandwagon because it's the 'cool' thing to do?

Seriously, why are all of you getting all up in arms about this guy?

I'm sure karma will come and bite him in the ass at some point for the shit he pulled in Japan.

But all of you ranting and screaming about it isn't adding any levity to the world we live in.

It's just adding more unnecessary carbon dioxide to the atmosphere we use to breathe.

...

And that's all I have to say.

...

I'm done with this shit.

Until next time folks...

Goodnight America, and to all the ships out at sea.

A Non-Brony Reviews - My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)

Wow... the pressure... the whole world (or at least, the Brony and Pegasister community) wants to know what I think of the newest theatrical iteration of My Little Pony. It's a question I've been getting ever since the movie came out, and after the fans discovered my commentary videos on Season 1's two-part episodes when I first posted them on YouTube back in April and June of 2016.

(Which you can find here at these links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkzwNsf4Vj0&t=685s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGUT8HvEo_I)

And, now that it's been a few months since this movie's theatrical release, I think it's time for me to give my honest impression of this film.

To sum it all up; it was pretty good, but not without it's flaws.

And I'm going to get the negatives out of the way first.

The first thing I want to get out of the way is this; If you go into this movie expecting some grandiose storyline and an epic fantasy adventure that's akin to the animated epic fantasy films of the 1980s like The Last Unicorn (1982) or the original My Little Pony: The Movie (1986), or if you're expecting an over-the-top, epic grand medieval-style fantasy adventure like Lord of the Rings (2001-2003) or Game of Thrones (2010-present), then I have some unfortunate news for you; you're not going to get it. At face value, what you will be getting is a plotline with elements and tropes that have been overused quite a few times in the fanfiction part of the Brony community.

No seriously, just type in 'epic my little pony adventure fanfiction' into the Google search bar and you will encounter hundreds, if not thousands of fanfiction stories (whether good or bad) who's plotlines and story elements are exactly the same as what this movie presents.

Now granted, the storyline and tropes they used here are used in a completely different manner, but since I'm getting the negatives of this film out of the way first, let's move along.

The second thing I want to get out of the way; is that if this film was all about introducing a new cast of characters that may or may not make their appearance on the TV show, then it would've been better if they wrote off or killed some or all of the main  or side characters. Sure, that might sound morbid, and it might have alienated the fanbase or the target demographic, but if done correctly, it can work. Like how various Autobot and Decepticon characters were killed off in the 1986 animated Transformers film, remember that?

Another disappointing factor about this film was the villain; The Storm King. He was just too much of a one-track individual that we know little to nothing about and who has never been mentioned or referenced in the TV show until this point. Same thing goes for his kingdom. A few hints or references in the TV show could've been nice or helpful, like how they had Starlight Glimmer spying on Twilight Sparkle all throughout Season 5 before their final showdown at the end. But no, we got none of that. Instead, if the fans or target demographic want to find out more about the Storm King and his motivations, they have to go read the IDW comics.

It's also very disappointing that so many more characters that have been introduced in the show since it's beginning up to now are completely absent from the movie except for appearing in the background in non-speaking roles. Cause seriously, where was fan-favorite Discord? Where was Starlight Glimmer and Trixie? Where was Prince Shining Armor when his wife was petrified and imprisoned and Canterlot was being invaded yet again by another enemy force? I mean, hello? Isn't he supposed to be the Captain of the fucking guards? Where was Princess Ember, the Dragon Lord? Isn't Equestria now allies with the Dragons? What about King Thorax and the reformed Changelings? Shouldn't they have come to the rescue now that they are friends with the ponies? Or Hell, where was Flurry Heart in all of this? Wouldn't the Storm King want Tempest to capture her too so that he could take her magic as well? Come on Hasbro, it's not that difficult!

The next problem I have is with the motivations of Queen Novo. It's like one moment, she was all; 'your problems are not my problems!', to the Mane 6, yet at the end of the movie she's all; 'let's be friends again! Yeah?' towards Princess Celestia. I know it's probably because seeing her daughter going against her wishes and helping the Equestrian ponies in the final battle might have been the factor that changed her mind to bring her people out of hiding and build relationships with Equestria once again, but those scenes could've been worked out a whole lot better.

The other problem I has with this movie was how is it that the sun and moon kept moving even though Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were imprisoned in stone? I thought it's been established all throughout the show up to this point that the sun and the moon cannot move without the two princesses. Oh sure, Celestia took control of raising the sun and moon after she banished her sister over 1000 years ago, but here, they are imprisoned in stone for how many days? And the sun and moon kept moving throughout the sky without them? Explain movie! Explain!

...

Now, after reading through all of my whining, some of you out there probably think I hate this movie along with the rest of the cucks at Rotten Tomatoes because it doesn't have the 'Disney' stamp on it, or it's not a high-profile animated film that has the backing of a major studio, or where everybody in Manhattan praises the ever-loving shit out of it.

But no. Like I said at the beginning of this blog post, I think the movie is pretty good. Sure, it's not gonna win an Academy Award, but it's a decent animated fantasy film that kids and adults can enjoy.

So relax, Bronies and Pegasisters.

What I just did for the last few paragraphs, was nit-picking...

Yeah...

...

Nit-picking.

...

You know, like when everybody bitched and ranted about Spider-Man posing in front of the American flag?

Or when everybody whined and cried about Superman's "You're letting him kill Martha!" line in Batman V Superman?

Or when everybody pissed and moaned about Indiana Jones hiding in a refrigerator from an atomic bomb blast?

Or when George Lucas created Jar-Jar Binks as a 'child-friendly' character that ended up being torn to shreds by Star Wars fans and the public so thin that after 18 years they have been rendered microscopic?

People. Complain. About. Everything.

Which makes me wonder why there are some Bronies and Pegasisters out there that say this film is absolute perfection.

But I think this film is pretty good. So relax everyone, cause now it's time to get to the positive things I have to say about this film.

...

Now as for what I did like?

Well, for one; even though I said this movie's fantasy elements are not akin to other epic fantasy adventure films, it still managed to take a classic trope that has been used countless times throughout storytelling (which is the main hero(es) leaving their homeland and traveling far beyond it's borders), and I personally think they used it in an interesting way.

Cause so far, the Mane 6 (or any of the characters from the show) haven't really ventured far from their homeland of Equestria. As far as I know, they've only been to the North and Eastern parts of the world beyond the borders of Equestria, which includes the Crystal Empire, Griffonstone, Yakyakistan, the Badlands and the Dragon Lands. So it was nice to see them travel even further away from their homeland to an area that's ruled by somebody who isn't friendly to ponies and where the locals either look down upon them or want to use them for more nefarious reasons (anyone else catch that in the town scene and after Capper's betrayal reveal?). Especially to a series of locations where ponies haven't ventured to, and where the 'Magic of Friendship' isn't going to be enough to save or help them.

I thought the scenes involving the Bone Dry Desert, Klugetown, Captain Celano's ship, Mount Aris and Seaquestria were pretty well done. and it's nice to see even more of the world that lays beyond the borders of Equestria. And I hope the show's writers and directors will implement these locations and more into future seasons of the show.

Another thing I liked was the shady rouge character; Capper. I think the voice actor they got to portray him did a pretty good job, and his species is definitely deserving of being shown in future episodes or seasons of the show. Same thing for Captain Celano and her crew; the voice actors and actresses did a good job portraying them, and I'd like to see more of their species introduced into the show.

Furthermore, even though Capper's introduction and motivations are a tired, clichéd trope that's been used countless times in other stories (which is a rouge guy who only cares about himself, is deep in debt and the only way he can erase his debt is to turn in/sell the main hero(es) to the villains/crime boss), his face-turn from being a guy who cares about himself and erasing his debt, to helping out the Mane 6 in the end and sticking to it was much, much better than the heel-to-face-to-heel turn of DJ when he betrayed Finn and Rose in Star Wars: The Last Jedi...

...

Yeah...

I just said that...

Which only goes to show how sad of a day it is when a rogue character in a cartoon movie about ponies turning from bad to good is done better and more believable than a rouge character pretending to be good but remaining bad all the same in a live-action movie taking place in a Galaxy far, far away.

...

*ahem* anyway, back to the positives about My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)...

Another good thing about this movie is how it stands out from the rest of the crowd of animated films. And what I mean by that is while everyone else in the industry is too busy trying to push the boundaries of 3-D animation to the point where you can't tell if you're watching a Disney movie or a Pixar movie anymore, this movie went back to the basics of classic, traditional, 2-D animation.

I mean, Jesus, I've nearly forgotten what that era of films used to look like. With everything being all computer generated images these days, this movie was the equivalent of someone spraying a can of air refresher after years of certain somebodies taking constant, nasty shits.

I know I'm not the only one who's getting a bit jaded from seeing the same old 3-D animated films that come out every year, right?

So if you're in the mood to see that 2-D animated films can still be done even in 2017, then this movie is a definite positive in that regard. And I hope to see more film studios willing to take this risk and invest money into 2D animated films again. Because let me say one thing about this film; it is one of the most beautifully animated 2-D films that I have seen in a very, VERY, long time.

Another positive about this film was the story and eventual character arc of the broken-horned Unicorn; Tempest Shadow, or Fizzlepop Berrytwist.

Now granted, while the more "hardcore" bronies might spend 99% of their lives hating this character for being the stereotypical "edgy" character that's been used in other media many times before, especially in the fanfiction community of My Little Pony (seriously, just type in; 'red-and-black alicorn fanfiction' into google and you'll see what I mean), I personally did not have a problem with her character or her design.

In fact, everything about her character screams; 'badass' to me.

And sure, while her badassery can be boiled down to the typical origin story of; 'she had a traumatic experience in her life which caused her to become cynical and full of hatred as she grew older', let's not forget why she became a cynical character to begin with; She was once a young unicorn that had friends, family, and high hopes for the future, but after she lost part of her horn, she became shunned by her former friends, left alone, and quite possibly (even though the movie doesn't show this) teased, bullied and ridiculed by other fillies and colts which drove her to run away and become the villain that she is. I mean come on people, let's not forget that Equestria isn't always full of sunshine and rainbows.

Remember when Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon constantly picked on the Cutie Mark Crusaders until Season 5?

Or when Princess Luna was constantly put on the backburner until she finally snapped and became Nightmare Moon over 1000 years ago?

Or even in the IDW Comics where Sombra eventually became the tyrant that he was in Season 3 because everybody kept hiding the truth from him about his origins, thinking that everything would be alright even though the magic of the Crystal Fair kept hurting him?

My point being is, all villains start somewhere. And whether they have a tragic backstory that turns them into a cynical asshole or if they were just an ordinary individual who one day snaps, goes off the deep end and never looks back, all villains, in any medium, whether it's film, television, videogames, books, comics, fanfiction, etc. have to start somewhere.

And with the story and character arc that the writers gave to Tempest Shadow/Fizzlepop Berrytwist, I saw it as a believable story and character arc that could happen to anybody in the fictional world of My Little Pony.

Granted, I personally would've preferred if Tempest Shadow stayed evil at the end of the movie and take all the Storm King's power and position for herself after he reveals that he had no intention of helping her restore her horn after taking all the magic from the princesses of Equestria... cause, let's face it, I think we've had more than enough of former villains going against what makes them villainous and becoming reformed through 'the power of friendship!'... ah, but that's a rant for another day...

Another plus for this movie was how one of the artists who provided one of their songs for the soundtrack was cast as a character that had the same mannerisms and overall look of the real-world musician's stage persona.

I am of course, talking about Songbird Serenade, who is voiced by the music artist Sia.

Furthermore, I think it's nice to see a 2-D animated fantasy film in 2017 where a (for the time) modern pop song is not only on the film's soundtrack, but is also played in the film near the ending scene and when the credits start rolling.

Cause honestly, when I was watching this movie and the closing scene started rolling, I cannot believe how much I sorely missed the days of seeing 2-D animated films using the formula of taking a modern pop song and cleverly implementing it into the film.

Oh sure, Disney is still continuing this trend with their 3-D films, but honestly, I think this formula works better with 2-D animated films.

Especially when it comes to the classics like the Don Bluth films of the mid 1980s to the late 1990s, and even during the Disney Renaissance Era of 2-D animated films.

I hope I see more 2-D animated films implementing this formula.

Now, as for the comedic elements of this film, I can honestly say that they worked just fine in it's favor. Although sure, there were some jokes and moments that were supposed to be funny that didn't really deliver on the comedic aspect of things.

I mean, for example, the whole 'hippo' joke that ended up being a subtle reference to the 'Hungry Hungry Hippos' board game by Hasbro, that didn't get any chuckles out of me.

But for the other comedic moments of the film; like how Princess Skystar's character is all about being a bubbly, funny hippogriff princess, definitely had me cracking a few smiles here and there when she was on-screen.

And even throwing in the famous Transformers sound effect when Grubber was getting onto his pedestal when Tempest Shadow and the Storm King's forces invade Canterlot, was a nice, comedic touch as well.

Honestly, I could keep going on and on about the other positives and negatives of this movie, but now I think it's time I bring things back down to earth and drive the point home;

Bottom line, was My Little Pony: The Movie, a great film? Well, yes. But again, it depends on how you look at it.

On one hand, it's a great, 2-D animated fantasy film that is aimed for it's core adult audience and the young demographic fanbase, it's a very, visually appealing, colorful film, and the storyline is well done for the most part. It's a film that can resonate with both children and adults, and the way it was written, directed, produced, acted and animated serves to remind us of the more carefree times of our lives during the golden years of 2-D animated fantasy films, and to show how, even in 2017, 2-D animated films can be done.

But on the other hand, this is a fantasy film that uses the bare basics of the tropes in that genre. So if you go in expecting a grandiose, epic adventure that's on par with The Last Unicorn or Lord of the Rings, you're not going to get it. And the storyline, while they did the best with what they could come up with, it sounds too similar to the storylines that you can find through a google search of My Little Pony fanfiction. And while it's a visually appealing fantasy film, it probably won't go down in history the same way the 1986 Transformers film did, or the original animated My Little Pony film from the 1980s did. So don't expect this film to be nominated for any sort of awards at the end of the year.

However, I will say one other thing about this film; when I walked out of the movie theater after the credits ended, I saw a bunch of parents with their children by their sides, talking excitedly about the movie, and I had a flashback to my youth 20 years ago when I walked out of a 2-D animated film with my parents talking excitedly about what I had just seen.

In that moment, I thought to myself; wow, I used to be like one of those kids.

And now here I am, many years later as an adult, walking out of a 2-D animated fantasy film in 2017, with that same excited feeling that I once felt all those years ago when I was a child.

And quite honestly, that is the power that this film has which serves as it's shining moment; it's a 2-D animated fantasy film, made in 2017, that reminds us how despite the mistakes, errors and flaws that have been committed by other animation studios which caused them to throw in the towel and shut down their 2-D Animation studios over a decade ago, 2-D animated fantasy films can still be done in this modern world we live in, and it can still have the heart, talent and soul that 2-D animated fantasy films of the past once had.

They can tell the epic stories that their creators wish to show us, and they can still resonate with both the young and old.

But anyway, that's all I have to say about this movie.

I can't guarantee that you will end up liking this movie. And I also can't guarantee that your kids will like it, but I say; check it out. Cause it's a visually appealing film with a decent, fantasy theme to it, and it goes to show that there is more to My Little Pony than it being a simplistic toy line for little girls.

But of course, the biggest question that a lot of people have is; should this movie get a sequel?

And to that end, I say; no. It shouldn't.

Even though it's probably an inevitability, I really wish they wouldn't make a sequel.

My reasoning for this is because for one thing; the show has 2 years left in it's lifetime (according to some sources), and I think a lot of the show's writers, directors and voice actors want to move on to other things instead of being constantly shackled to this current iteration of the franchise. Unless of course they come up with some grandiose way of bringing about another movie that will serve as the show's finale after Season 9 wraps up in 2019, which will supposedly pave the way for Generation 5 My Little Pony.

But, if the current iteration of Generation 4 My Little Pony continues to be financially profitable for Hasbro by the time we get to Season 9's ending episodes, that Hasbro decides to make a Season 10 and beyond, then hey, I say go for it if a movie sequel to this film seems profitable, and if they can come up with a good script that furthers the storyline that this film gave us.

Well, in any case, those are my thoughts about this film. Thanks for listening to my ramblings, and until next time...

Goodnight America, and to all the ships out at sea.

The Battlefront II fallout, the roast of Electronic Arts, the anger of Gamers, and why this shouldn't surprise anyone at this point...

Well, time for another long-winded, diatribe, gaming rant from yours truly...

And quite honestly, I never thought I'd have to deal with this logo and the constant controversy surrounding the company it represents...

But, here we are again, at yet another massive gaming controversy that they have created once more.

So, for today's topic, it looks like the prediction I made several years ago turned out to be correct in the end...

When Disney chose to give the Star Wars videogame license to Electronic Arts in 2013 shortly after George Lucas sold everything related to Star Wars to Disney, I had a bad feeling (no pun intended) that this would be a bad decision...

Well, here we are 4 years later, and given all the controversy, backlash, roasting and legal troubles that Electronic Arts has caused in regards to their latest release; Star Wars: Battlefront II... I am honestly not surprised.

I'm not going to go into all the bruh-ha-ha and bullshit that has been going on for the past 2 months regarding EA and their handling of this situation...

...instead, I am going to discuss what WE, the gamers, the gaming community, and the gaming industry as a whole, can do about this.

First off; Yes, gamers, I get it. I get that you're fucking frustrated with Electronic Arts and how they allow games to be released that contain little to no content that can only be unlocked through microtransacions and pay walls...

I get that you're fucking pissed as hell that Electronic Arts purchased various studios and companies that made the videogames that defined our childhoods, and beat them into the dirt with their bad business practices...

I get that you want to start a petition and get thousands of signatures so that Disney can revoke EA's Star Wars license (the rumors are saying that they will, but no guarantees)...

And yes, I can see how hilarious it is when there are major publishers and developers in the gaming industry consistently dissing and roasting Electronic Arts right now. Everyone from Bethesda and CD Project RED, to Blizzard and Sony Interactive Entertainment (of America)...

But for someone like me, who hasn't purchased an Electronic Arts-published game since Medal of Honor: European Assault (2005), and who hasn't played an Electronic Arts-published game since Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014)...

Seeing all this uproar that a videogame company is causing right now, seeing all these people getting up in arms over a videogame that they knew wasn't going to satisfy them in any way whatsoever, seeing all these people starting petitions left and right against this company and it's parent who gave them the license...

To me, this whole event is just sad.

It really is.

Why?

Well gee, if THIS is what it takes for people to get motivated, to get up in arms, to protest and to sign petitions; the actions of a bad gaming company with bad business practices and shitty videogames since 2007 who CONTINUES to treat it's fanbases and the gaming industry like shit, when there are real, serious events and problems going on in our world right now...

To me, it's just really fucking sad.

It's really fucking sad when these kinds of problems are more at the forefront of our thoughts instead of the real problems of the world that affect us more seriously than we can even begin to imagine.

And yes, I get it. Like I said before gamers, you are pissed with Electronic Arts and how they've been treating the fanbases of it's various franchises for the past decade, and how their bad business practices have been hurting and negatively impacting the gaming industry and gamers as a whole. But you know what? Electronic Arts has proven time and time again, that they do not care what you think about them.

Another thing is that no matter how many times you guys protest, rant and scream about EA's bad business practice and how you 'will never buy another EA game again!', YOU will be back to buy another shitty, half-assed, videogame with the signature 'EA' stamp on it.

I know this.

The sensible gamers know this.

And Electronic Arts knows this.

No matter what you guys say or do, all Electronic Arts has to do on their end is put a shiny fresh coat of paint on their games, make false promises to 'stop their bad business practices', and you guys will come crawling back once again to buy their shit.

The same thing happened when Battlefield 1 was announced in 2016 after everyone eviscerated Activision for Infinite Warfare.

Folks, I don't know what else to tell you about Electronic Arts. I've stated time and time again in the past that NONE of you should be buying their games and supporting their bad business practices if they continue on this path. Because once again, that is the ONLY WAY to make them care about your complaints; and that is if NONE OF YOU, spend your money to buy a game that is published by them, and you hold true to that without falling for their lies and excuses that they make about an upcoming game.

Because if the number of people who don't buy their latest game is greater, than the number of people who are, then, and only then, will Electronic Arts care about what we have to say.

But it seems like once again, you all fell for their lies about Battlefront II, and you went out and spent money on a half-assed game that could've been given better treatment under a different gaming studio and game publisher.

Once again, it shows that all of you who wasted money on this game and the baggage that comes with it are suckers and easily swayed sheep.

*sigh*

You know, this whole thing reminds me of a wise statement that one person said in regards to Electronic Arts;

"This company is like a bad restaurant; they make bad business decisions, they inconvenience their customers, you hate the waiters, you hate the chefs, you hate the management, you hate the owners, you hate the food and you hate the way everything is put out in a half-assed manner...

...but you know what? Despite the countless lies and false promises they've made from past to present about 'improving their image' and 'better business practices', you all keep coming back here to pay money to eat their food and keep them in business
".

And another thing, petitions have been sent to Electronic Arts left and right in the past long before this whole diatribe regarding EA potentially ruining the Star Wars franchise with their 2 shitty games and the cancellation of potentially good Star Wars games made by other companies under their umbrella. I mean shit, does anyone remember that one gamer who took his complaints to the FCC in regards to Mass Effect 3's shitty endings?

And my question about this petition is this; if Electronic Arts didn't give a dead moose's last shit about petitions in the past, what makes you think they are going to give a flying fuck about this petition now?

Oh sure, EA lost $3.1 billion on the stock market in lost revenue, Disney is considering revoking their Star Wars license, and the politicians in the U.S. State of Hawaii are considering signing into law, the first, ever, anti-gaming lootbox and microtransaction laws in this nations history...

And even if all these things will negatively impact EA in the long run, they've proven time and time again that they just don't care.

And with this new petition being sent their way, I guarantee you that they are going to take this petition and wipe their own asses with it.

*sighs again*

Folks... gamers... regular people... Star Wars fans...

I really don't know what else to tell you.

Other than if you truly want to hurt EA, you need to hit their bottom line; which is NEVER buying another EA game or anything with their brand on it ever again, and actually staying true to this conviction and never listening to another false promise or lie that EA tells you to sucker you into buying a new game from them.

And I guarantee that if the number of people who actually follow up on this is greater than the number of people who are going out and buying EA products, THEN, and ONLY THEN, will EA take notice of how their bad business practices and treatment of gamers and the gaming industry is hurting their bottom line and everyone else in general.

Until you all stop falling of their lies and getting easily suckered into buying more games from them, they will continue along this path of bad business practices and not caring how mad the gamers and gaming community gets at them.

But hey, if all the negativity that's been brought down upon EA with Battlefront II for the past 2 months causes them to care, and if they do revert back to the way things were before they started this bad business practice and not giving a shit about gamers...

...I will be the first to come onto here and say; "Holy shit! I can't believe how wrong I was, Electronic Arts actually listened to us and to our complaints!"...

...but you know what? A week from now, a month from now, six months from now, or even a year from now, what are you guys gonna do?

Are you actually going to follow up on this conviction and never purchase another Electronic Arts game or anything with their stamp on it, and never falling for their lies, false promises and hope that they give you guys before every major game release?

Or are you just going to sit there in your sourpuss little selves and just deal with it while continuing to buy more games and merchandise from them in the vain hope that your money will bring them to their senses and they'll revert back to the way things were before 2007?

Think about it people. Just think about it.

Well, I'm done ranting for today.

I'm going to go play some Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition.

Have a good day, gamers.

Goodnight America, and to all the ships out at sea.

Emer Prevost (a.k.a., Hellsing920) is dead...

So... another person from the original YouTube crowd has kicked the bucket....

Emerson "Emer" Prevost, who was better known as "Hellsing920" here on the internet, has died.

From what's been revealed so far, he died from complications relating to a hernia that he was supposed to go get surgery done on so that he could improve his health in the long run.

But now, it looks like the complications due to his hernia problem has caused him to pass away.

...

I'm sure this is a really big shock to his close friends, his fans and his subscribers. And it's going to be a really strange feeling knowing that, from this point on, one of the OG YouTubers is dead, and the memories we have left of them are the videos they made over the years in their time here in the online world...

...or, in Emer's case, the real memories that anyone has about him from this point onward, is how much of a douchebag he became after his original retro game review channel got terminated, and in the years leading up to his hospital visits and eventual death...

*sigh*

Look folks, I don't mean to be mr nay-say here, and I'm not trying to speak ill of the dead, but let's be honest here;

Emer Prevost was a real douchebag towards alot of people in his time on YouTube and wherever else he had an online profile or presence.

Obviously, the two douchebaggery things he was known for in recent memory was his feud with Asaleri over a fucking Sonic the Hedgehog game...

(funny, considering Emer made a rant video about Sonic fanboys back in the day and how childish they act, yet he and Asaleri showed the world how childish the Sonic fanbase can truly be...)

...and his completely uncalled for anger against the commentary community, especially after they (rightfully) called him out on his bullshit and all he had to hide behind was a bunch of legal jargon that isn't meant to be taken literally. While also pointing out that he's violated the same rules (both YouTube's and the rules laid out by the U.S. Legal System) many times over with his "Reaction & Review" video series.

But anyone who remembers Emer Prevost from mid-2008 to early-2011, will know that he made a multitude of videos where he would spew out misinformation and incorrect statements about various fanbases, movies, fan followings, video games, other YouTubers, or whatever it was that managed to irk him in the moment, and when he would inevitably get a slew of angry messages/comments/video responses to what he said, he'd just laugh it off with his fellow no-talent creators from the old WingerDinger circle and pat himself on the back for getting a rise out of people.

In fact, several more infamous things that he's probably known for was;

His praising of the horrible live-action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball franchise; Dragon Ball: Evolution, where he said the film looks okay and watchable, and how the Dragon Ball "fanboys" needed to (in his own words) "get a fucking life, and get out of their basements", in regards to how they had every right to trash the movie and protest it's existence...

His rant against the Ring of Honor fanboys, which only further cemented his love of spewing misinformation by admitting in the same video that he hadn't seen enough of Ring of Honor to make a concrete judgment on the company or it's wrestlers in question...

His infamous "Console Wars" video about the PC as a gaming console, and how he referred to PC gamers as a bunch of "PC gaming scumbags" when he said that they have the option of torrenting/illegally downloading videogames rather than paying for them...

And perhaps the most infamous moment from him (at least, the one that finally caused me to say "fuck it", and unsubscribe from him back in the day); was his infamous video about the "Ground Zero Mosque" that was causing such an uproar back in 2010. No seriously folks, go watch that video of his, and you will see where he stood politically and socially in regards to giving America's enemies the satisfaction that they won a victory against us.

*ahem*

Bottom line; Emer Prevost, a.k.a., Hellsing920, was a grade-A douchebag in his time on the internet.

The only time he was ever cool with anyone, was when he did his angry retro videogame reviews that everyone else was trying to do back in the days of 2006 - 2009, in the hopes that they could become just as famous as James Rolfe (a.k.a., The Angry Video Game Nerd) did with his retro gaming reviews.

But after his original channel got terminated by someone claiming to be 20th Century Fox, when he came back to YouTube with a new account, he just seemed to turn into a really unlikeable person with his rants, ravings, and incorrect bullshit.

And quite honestly, I cannot understand how people are mourning for him right now, when there's a slew of evidence that shows how much of an asshole he was.

But then again, it is saddening to see that he is dead, and it's going to feel really weird from this point on in regards to his channel still being up, but the person behind it is no longer alive.

So, while everything I said here may seem like I'm hating on the man, I do want to reiterate what GreatExpectations320 said in his video about Emer;

The man did not deserve to die. Despite his douchebag ways, his asshole nature, and his all-around grouchiness towards whatever it is that set him off in the moment, the man did not deserve death.

And I'm going to leave it at that.

So, rest in peace, Emer Prevost (Hellsing920).

I may not have agreed with your douchebag ways and asshole nature...

...but I truly hope that you are at peace now, and that you are in a place where there is no suffering or pain.

Godspeed dude.

Until next time...

Goodnight America, and to all the ships out at sea.

Don't try to win a Darwin Award with a tool that is unforgiving of stupidity...

I haven't posted anything on here for quite awhile now.

Mainly because I don't have as much time to post my thoughts or opinions about any hot button or low-key topics and musings on here as much as I used to, and I'm trying to avoid running into the many stupids on the internet that makes me want to reach through my computer screen and beat their head repeatedly on whatever desk/table/etc., they...
happen to be sitting at.

But, due to a recent event that has happened in my former neck of the woods, that the totally unbiased news media (snort) felt the need to report on, I figured I might as well share my thoughts on the matter...

...so, to make a long story short. The local news media where I used to live reported on an incident in San Bernardino (or somewhere near that area) where a man who was disassembling and cleaning his legally owned firearm in his garage, had to deal with the unfortunate situation of his gun going off while a round was in the chamber. Said round penetrated the ceiling, through the floor above, through a mattress, and into the body of his sleeping 2-year old daughter...

...obviously, the police were called, along with emergency medical responders, and the child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Where as of this posting, she has made it through surgery and is recovering.

Alright... now that you've heard the story, time for me to share my thoughts on the matter...

If you're a gun owner, whether you are a newbie or a veteran, it always goes without saying;

…

ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED BEFORE YOU DISASSEMBLE/CLEAN IT!

…

Seriously. This should be common sense by now.

If people actually followed this simple common sense rule of firearm safety, then we would have less accidents like this and the progressives and left-wingers wouldn't be trying to pass so many damn laws that hurt law-abiding citizens and businesses relating to guns.

Another thing that should be common sense (even though some pro-gun folks [sometimes vehemently] disagree) is that if you are buying a gun for the first time, you should invest some of your time and money in a firearms safety course. Hell, sometimes the nice people behind the counter who are selling you your first gun are willing to help you out or point you in the right direction when it comes to firearms safety courses.

Remember, a firearm is a tool. But just like any other tool, it is extremely unforgiving of stupidity and users who don't read the safety or instruction manuals. And just like any other tool, it has the means of hurting the stupid and the uneducated who foolishly handle them.

So as it goes without saying; once you've bought your first gun, get trained and keep training. The more you train, the more better acquainted you will be with your firearm.

Now granted, because this event occurred in the People's Democratic Republic of Kaliforniastan, if you are looking for firearms safety training instructors or classes/courses, depending on where you live in that state, it may be easy for you to find a local gun range or firearms store or shop that contains employees who are willing to train you in the art of firearms safety and handling.

But in other areas, especially the elite, urban liberal cities like San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco, you may have to travel long distances, spend a lot of time searching Yellow Pages or Google for legitimate results, shell out extra cash, or jump through additional legal hoops before you can buy a gun and find a training course, instructor or class that will teach you all the know-how's of firearm safety.

But hey, in those areas, you all voted for the local legislature shutting down or driving off the gun ranges and stores/shops that contained the people willing to train others in firearm safety, because those mean, scary guns were so loud and disturbing!

Oh wait... the gun industry has had an easy solution to make guns quieter and lessen the impact of hearing damage of firearm owners! But you crybaby Democrats made that extremely hard and cost-prohibitive for the average law-abiding average joe citizen to obtain since 1934 because the previous decade was rife with scary men in fedora hats and trench coats using shoddily-crafted homemade versions of said solution to murder other scary men in fedora hats and trench coats! All because you people deemed alcohol to be a forbidden and immoral fruit for the American public. And when the Federal Government declares something to be a forbidden fruit, the people who really want that forbidden fruit will find ways to acquire it, sometimes through criminal and violent means and ways.

But hey, once again, you all voted for that.

In the words of that one famous internet meme; 'Deal With It'.

…

Anyway, I kinda got off-topic there. So it's time to bring things back to perspective, and drive the point home...

Let this event that the news media felt the need to report on, serve as an important reminder that once again; if you are going to own a gun, get some form of firearms safety training, always keep training to stay at the top of your game, and always, always, always... make sure your gun is unloaded before you disassemble or clean it.

Bottom line; do not try to win a Darwin Award if you're going to be a responsible, law-abiding gun owner. Even more so if you're a responsible, law-abiding gun owner living in an anti-gun state.

Because you make the rest of us responsible gun owners look bad.

And you give the liberals even more excuses to pass laws that disarm the rest of us.

...

*whew*

...

That's it, folks.

Rant's over.

Now get out there and get certified in firearms safety.

And liberals, quit trying to disarm us and calling everyone who disagrees with your view racists, misogynists, homophobes and xenophobes.

Cause then you might win more elections.

Goodnight America, and to all the ships out at sea!

Valve Corporation, I am officially done with you.

Whelp, that certainly was an interesting E3 experience, wasn't it?

How about that announcement from Valve Corporation?

I'm sure that's EXACTLY what your longtime fans and supporters always wanted from you, right Valve?

Another fucking digital card game? Even though it's a proven fact how digital card games on videogame consoles are never a success?

…

*sigh*

Valve, what happened to you?

Why are you deciding to pull a GRRM when it comes to things like creating a proper conclusion to Half-Life? A game series that has been overrated to hell and back, modified to the last pixel, and slowly losing the love and interest it once garnered?

Why are you pulling a Konami on us, Valve?

Just... why?

*sigh*

You know what, I'm taking my dollars elsewhere now.

Congratulations Valve, you have succeeded in turning yet another of your longtime supporters into an anti-Valve consumer.

And as long as you keep going down this path you're currently taking, I will not be spending another dime on your games, and neither will I be using Steam to buy or play games.

Valve Corporation, I am officially done with you.

That is all.
